Our goal is to respond to all questions within 24 hours of receipt. For immediate assistance, you may call our hotels directly seven days a week.

Do I have to use a credit card to book a reservation on the Internet? Is your reservations process secure?

Yes, we normally ask for a credit card to confirm and/or guarantee a reservation. All information provided to us is relayed over a secure server. The information you provide will not be used, sold or rented in any way.

I'm having trouble making an online reservation. Is there a number I can call for help?

In case any issues arise during the reservation process, please call the hotel directly. The phone numbers can be found on the bottom of this page.

What is your policy regarding cancellations?

If your travel plans change, you can cancel or modify your reservation in accordance with the hotel’s cancellation policy as stated during the reservation process. If you used a Third Party Site, i.e. Expedia, Booking.com, or Cheap Hotels, etc. you may have more restrictions. You would need to call the Third Party Site directly, please look at your reservation details for contact information.

Can I cancel or change a reservation once it has been made?

Yes. If your travel plans change, you can cancel or modify your reservation in accordance with the specific hotel or third party site cancellation policy as stated during the reservation process. Please contact us directly with any questions. We will be happy to help you understand the cancellation policy. If you used a Third Party Site, i.e. Expedia, Booking.com, or Cheap Hotels, etc. please contact them directly.

What happens if my plans change and I forget to change or cancel my reservation?

Cancellation policies and charges vary by hotel, so you may also have charges or additional liabilities as agreed to during the reservation confirmation process. Cancellation policies are displayed during the reservation confirmation process and are also listed in the confirmation email you receive upon confirming your reservation. If you used a Third Party Site, i.e. Expedia, Booking.com, or Cheap Hotels, etc. you may have more restrictions and we may or may not be able to assist directly.

Are taxes included in the room rates?

Taxes are added to the room rate you are quoted. You can ask for specific tax amounts.

Can I book more than one room at a time?

Yes, you can book up to nine rooms at a time on the websites. Please contact the front desk of the hotel or the sales office if you want to book 10 rooms or more. Sales-573-451-3203 or sales@fortwoodhotels.com

PAYMENT INFORMATION

What is a pre-authorization of my credit card?

Pre-authorization, if done at your hotel, is a hold on your credit card credit line for a purchase placed there by the merchant who has initiated a charge, but not completely processed it. When the merchant finalizes the transaction process, the pre-authorization amount will be replaced by an actual charge to your card. We swipe your credit card at check-in to ensure that sufficient funds are available to settle your final bill –- and we hold this amount throughout your stay. The amount we check for will depend on the length of your stay and which hotel you are residing at. The member of staff checking you in will explain this process clearly. No money is taken from your credit card during a preauthorization, however, it will show as a pending transaction. The authorization of your card will last the length of your stay and it will take up to five days after your departure to be released. You can use a different card to pay your final bill. If you have any questions about pre-authorization, please inquire at the check-in area.

How do I request an accessible room?

Our accessible rooms are displayed when you choose your room type. If you have more questions please contact us directly. Every attempt will be made to accommodate your needs.

What age must I be to check into a Fort Wood Hotels property?

The person whose name is on the reservation must be at least 21 years of age to check into our Candlewood Suites by IHG Hotels, MainStay Suites by Choice Hotels and Hampton Inn by Hilton. Fairfield by Marriott allows you to check-in at 18 years of age. Photo identification is required for check-in.

What happens if I use a debit card to book my reservation?

Debit cards will be processed and charged at the time of check-in. This authorization will hold funds from your bank account in the amount of the room rate, inclusive of tax, for all rooms nights plus the property’s nightly incidental hold. The incidental hold will cover any additional charges. The incidental hold varies by property. Please contact the property for specific hold amounts. Upon check-out, any unused funds will be credited back to your bank account. Based upon the business rules of your bank, it may take 72 hours or longer for your bank to release the funds back to your account. When Online Check-In is used, the charges will be processed prior to check-in, on the day of your arrival.

Will I be charged for extra guests occupying my room?

No, there are no extra charges for additional people. There are limits to the number of people allowed in a room due to fire hazards. Please ask your hotel directly for specific information.

How do I request an early check-in or late check-out with the hotel?

Since hotel policies regarding early check-in or late checkout vary by location and by hotel, please call the hotel directly prior to your arrival to make any necessary arrangements. Direct hotel phone numbers can be found on your confirmation email or on the bottom of this page.

How long does it take for my points to get posted to my rewards account?

Please allow two weeks after check-out for points to be added to your account.

Are you pet-friendly? Do you need shot records?

Three of our hotels are pet-friendly. Hampton Inn, Candlewood Suites and our MainStay Suites allow pets. There is a pet fee and you do not need to provide shot records at the front desk.

What are check-in / check-out times?
Check-In Times are as follows: 3 pm for Fairfield Inn, Hampton Inn and MainStay Suites. 4pm for Candlewood Suites. Check Out Times are as follows: 11 am for Hampton Inn. 12 noon for Candlewood Suites, Fairfield Inn and MainStay Suites.
Do you have a pool?

We do have an indoor pool at our Fairfield Inn. We have an outdoor pool only at our MainStay Suites and Hampton Inn. Our Candlewood Suites does not have a pool.

Is there a breakfast provided?

Breakfast is provided at 3 of our hotels – A full, hot breakfast is available at Hampton Inn and Fairfield Inn. An express (minus eggs and meat) breakfast is available at our MainStay Suites. Our Candlewood Suites does not have a free breakfast, but they do have a marketplace with items for purchase.

Are there any parking fees?

We do not charge any parking fees at our hotels. If you have trailers or special requests, please contact the front desk for the best accommodations in our parking areas.

Do you offer special discounts? (Military, Senior, AAA, etc.)

Can Fort Wood Hotels provide a crib/playpen for my room when I travel with children? Is there a charge?

We’ll do everything possible to accommodate your request. Please note all special requests are on a first come first serve. There is no extra charge for this service.

Where can I find maps and directions to my hotel?

When on our hotel’s website, you will see a map and addresses as well as phone numbers and emails on the bottom of each page. The Google Map can be clicked to obtain exact directions from your location.

How far are you away from Fort Leonard Wood?

We are only 2.5 miles from the main gate of Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. It is a straight shot down Missouri Avenue from St. Robert Boulevard.

Is there a rental car service nearby?

Which restaurants are in walking distance?

Our hotels are conveniently situated near each other, with several restaurants within walking distance, including Cracker Barrel, Ruby Tuesday, Pappo’s Pizzeria, Jimmy John’s, Mardiyama Hibachi Express & Sushi, Ocean Buffet, and Route 66 Diner.
